Nubia Red Magic 5G will deliver 80W fast charging

Nubia Red Magic 5G deliver fast 80W charging

Several smartphone manufacturers are working hard to develop fast charging technology. Currently, the device with the highest charging power available on the market is the Oppo Reno Ace, which delivers 65W. This allows you to "fill" the battery fully in about 15 minutes.

However, it seems that Oppo may lose that "title" sometime this year. Ni Fei, president of Nubia, published a photo on Weibo showing the screen of the Red Magic 5G, the company's next gamer smartphone. We can see that this device supports a current of 9.6 amps and voltage of 8.4, something that translates to 80W.

In addition to this more than competent fast charging technology, it is expected that the Red Magic 5G arrives on the market with Snapdragon 865 processor and, as its name suggests, it supports the fifth generation of mobile internet. Information indicates that it will also have a display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Recalling that other brands are already working on more efficient technologies than Nubia. Xiaomi, for example, introduced the 100W Super Charge Turbo, while Vivo has developed the 120W Super FlashCharge.

Still, none of them officially reached consumers, as companies still need more time to solve the main problem of a bigger power: overheating.

So far, there are no details regarding the release date of the next Nubia gamer smartphone, but this and other information should be revealed soon.
