Good news for anyone who uses WhatsApp Messenger! Your version 2.17.81 App Store has just arrived, with two very useful new features.
The first is that now, if you want to record voice messages for a long time, you can simply slide the button upwards (microphone icon) to "lock" it. This way, you do not need to hold the button during recording, a behavior very similar to what we already have in Telegram, it is worth mentioning.
The second that is only highlighted in the release notes of the American App Store that, when receiving a link from a YouTube video, now you can theoretically play it directly on WhatsApp. And thanks to PiP (Picture-in-Picture), you can continue watching the video while browsing other chats. This, as I said, in theory, because in my tests here I was unable to make the feature work, being always directed to the YouTube app.
Note that the YouTube feature in WhatsApp is currently disabled, also if the changelog reports it. Probably they missed to enable it.I will inform you when WhatsApp will enable it from the server, probably tonight.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature is actually disabled at the moment they probably didn’t enable it for some reason. Maybe something simple that can be activated by the server, it is not necessary to release a new update of the app just for that.
🔂 UPDATE: WhatsApp is finally ready to release other updates after the Thanksgiving week, where they were on holiday. The week started now and we already got another confirmation that WhatsApp is internally working on a ** particular ** version for iPad.

Also according to the profile / website specializing in news about the messenger, WhatsApp is preparing to finally launch a version of the application for iPads. If this is confirmed, it will no longer be necessary to use WhatsApp Web on the tablet. THE! 😊
