Nokia's secret plan: Android?

In a recent appearance on a Finnish talk show, Risto Siilasmaa, Nokia's new chairman, said the manufacturer has a secret plan if its efforts on Windows Phone don't work.

Broadcast by a national broadcaster, the executive said he is confident that Windows Phone 8 will be successful, but that the company has a backup plan in case something goes wrong.

Although it did not specify details of the alleged plan, market analysts believe that the company will "follow the crowd" and adopt Android as a last resort for a tougher competition with Samsung, HTC and Motorola.
