Nokia NSeries updated with N97

Nokia today announced the launch of a new mobile phone. The new Nokia N97 updates the Finnish manufacturer’s smartphone offer and, guarantees the company, kicks off the renewal of the N-Series line.

The device has a touch screen, so it can be a direct competitor to Sony Ericsson’s X1 and HTC’s Touch Pro, in addition to the obvious competition to the iPhone.

The equipment’s 3.5-inch screen includes a full Qwerty keyboard, a five megapixel camera, bluetooth connectivity, integrated GPS, WiFi and 3G. The device also has an internal memory of 32 GB, with the possibility of adding another 16 GB via microSD card.

The smartphone should only reach stores until June next year. The reference price indicated by Nokia for the equipment is 550 euros (excluding taxes), identical to that of its predecessors, the Nokia N95 and N96, at the time when they reached the market.

It is recalled that the Nokia N95 is one of the sales successes of the manufacturer that it has marketed since 2006, when the model was launched, 10 million pieces of equipment.
