For those who expected a special edition of the Nintendo Switch console with the theme of the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, their wish came true. Not only did they change the colors of the Joy-cons to turquoise blue, they also dyed prints on the dock station and applied raised art to the back of the console screen. The cute design (or kawai, as the Japanese call it) should attract the attention of many people to buy it.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons to be released on March 20 this year

The title Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released for the Nintendo console on March 20 this year. The game developed by the company itself is a non-linear game of life simulation. The player will start his adventure by controlling a customizable character who starts his story on a desert island after buying a Tom Nook vacation package (a raccoon, which is the series print).

Nintendo America posted on the social network Twitter announcing the new special edition of its console:

"A #NintendoSwitch system inspired by #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons is on its way! With exclusive Joy-Con controls, a custom design on the back and a special Nintendo Switch dock, the perfect way to start life on the island."

Animal Crossing, created by Katsuya Eguchi, was originally released in 2001 for Nintendo 64 and was later released for GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii and Nintendo 3DS. In other words, a classic game from the company's consoles.

The special edition of the Nintendo Switch console with the theme of Animal Crossing: New Horizon will be on sale on March 13 for the price of US $ 299.
