It all starts with installing an application that would come in the form of a fake Adobe Flash Player update, the download installs a seemingly innocent player application when the user will use it to get a meaningless error message when pressing OK to terminate the application an FBI notification will appear on the screen, such as the one you see in the image above.

Bitdefender has detected over 15,000 spam emails, including zipped files, from servers located in Ukraine with this virtual pest.

The security company commented that if a user gets infected with this trojan there is not much to do but reset the device via a hard reset or if developer mode is active using the Android SDK it may be possible to remove the application.

So far Google has not commented on the case.
