Another day, another wave of news about the Apple TV +! Come on?

The first recent news comes from deadline: this is the contract signed between the platform and Theresa Kang-Lowe, executive who built her career in WME – celebrity agency that managed talents like Riz Ahmed, Damien Chazelle, Alfonso Cuarón, Ryan Coogler, Guillermo del Toro, Gal Gadot and Gillian Flynn.

Kang-Lowe recently left WME and founded his own agency, Blue Marble Pictures; the executive signed a contract with Apple to «discover and amplify underrepresented voices».
That is, despite not working directly for Apple, Kang-Lowe will be responsible for discovering talents for the company – in addition to directing familiar names, such as those mentioned above, for Apple TV + productions.
Details about the contract, such as values or duration, were not revealed; in any case, we can expect interesting fruits coming out of this negotiation.
James DeLorenzo
Meanwhile, we had an actual hiring by Apple: according to journalist Peter Kafka, from Recode, the company is the new home of James DeLorenzo, executive who was at Amazon since 2016.
DeLorenzo accumulated positions in Jeff Bezos’ company: in addition to leading the sports area of Amazon Video, the executive indicated on his LinkedIn profile to be senior vice president of Audible, division of the giant responsible for audiobooks.
On Apple TV +, DeLorenzo will also head the sports, terrain still unexplored by the platform (officially, at least) and which could be the goose that lays the golden eggs of the company that manages to «dominate» it.
Let us see, therefore, the consequences of this contracting.
Ipsita Dasgupta
Apple’s other recent hire, according to the Economic Times, was from the executive Ipisita Dasgupta – who until recently headed the strategy area of the streaming Indian Hotstar, subsidiary of Walt Disney Company.
At Apple, Dasgupta will take over not only Apple TV +, but the management of all company services in India – including App Store, The Apple Music it’s the iCloud.
Before Hotstar, the executive accumulated passages for IBM, Cisco and General Electric.
