New rumor about iOS 9 addresses the “Proactive” feature, an alleged response from Apple to Google Now

And the boy Mark Gurman, from 9to5Mac, continues with everything in his rumors about the iOS 9. The ball at the time a resource internally called by Apple of "Proactive" ("Proactive"), which is supposed to be her response to Google Now.

According to Gurman, the idea of Apple integrating elements of iOS such as Siri, Contacts, Calendar, Passbook and even third-party apps in a smart way, giving the user useful information and shortcuts according to their use of the device. The feature would function as an evolution of the Spotlight search system, and its recent integration with Wikipedia would have been a kind of test of what the novelty will be capable of.

While offering these benefits to users, Apple has been working to increasingly reduce the usefulness of Google on iOS. From iOS 6 to 7, Apple moved the Spotlight: before it was on the first left screen of Home Screen, now accessible by pulling the screen from top to bottom. According to sources 9to5Mac, that would have reduced the use of Spotlight because it left it more "hidden", and Apple would be considering going back on the move to the release of iOS 9.

A good part of the “Proativo” functions will be the result of recent acquisitions made by Apple, such as that of Cue and that of Spotsetter.

Speaking of even more planned news for Maps, Gurman says Apple has been testing its own point of interest system (points of interest, or POIs) and a new feature called “Browse Near Me” (“Browse Around Me”) that would use the augmented reality technique to show locations relevant to the user in a three-dimensional interface.

While not completing its Siri API, Apple is considering at least offering some special integration of the wizard with third-party apps. In his article today, Gurman cites as an example the possibility of users reaching a certain category of films within Netflix from a search conducted by Siri. Apparently, Apple's biggest concern with these integrations is user privacy.

As always, it's worth remembering that these are all rumors and that, even if they are hot, they can be changed until Apple speaks publicly about any news. A possible way for her, for example, will be releasing parts of it all gradually in future iOS updates, that is, not necessarily all of the time in version 9.0.

We will know more in the opening keynote of WWDC 2015, on the 8th of June.
