New Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S will have Apple's CarPlay, but not Google's Android Auto

For those who are looking forward to buying the 2017 version of Porsche 911 Carrera or the Carrera S (some purchase, n), a curious novelty was shared by the Motor Trend.

It seems that Porsche wanted to offer both in the new on-board entertainment system for the 991/2 (codenames for vehicles) both the CarPlay it's the Android Auto, but gave up on Google’s solution for a question we know very well: privacy.

While Apple simply wants to know if the car is in motion or not while CarPlay is in use (for safety reasons), Google asks for data such as speed, gear and even oil temperature. Porsche did not like it one bit, especially considering that Google and Alphabet works on its own vehicle.

Does Google require the same information from all car manufacturers that have already incorporated its system? Curious.
