New Photoshop function makes the object 'disappear' from the photo | Publishers

Photoshop will gain a function that allows you to delete objects from the image more easily. The functionality was introduced by Meredith Stotzner, Photoshop's product manager, and an enhanced version of the Content-Aware Fill Tool (free translation tool). Adobe announced the news on Monday (10), on the official Photoshop channel on YouTube.

The current version of the tool removes items from a photo and automatically fills the empty space with pixels from the nearest region. The result, however, is not always the best. Therefore, the next software update will allow the user to select which part of the image will be used to fill the gap, and offer a preview screen of the result side by side.

Another novelty will be the use of artificial intelligence to occupy the erased zone, through the new mirroring and rotation features of the Content-Aware Fill Tool. Thus, it will be possible to use other portions of the photo and adjust them to fill the empty area.

In addition to the dual screen (with the photograph in the process of being edited and the preview of the final result), the new interface of the functionality will bring features in its own panel, with items such as selection and masks.

Although Adobe did not announce the date of arrival of the feature, Adobe announced that it "is coming soon to Photoshop CC".
