New patent reveals that Apple may introduce a foldable iPhone soon

Although it is late in the world of folding equipment, Apple has already demonstrated that it does not rule out the possibility of launching a smartphone or tablet of its kind. After receiving the green light for a patent in May 2019, the apple company won again one for a device with a screen and folding cover.

Apple intends to invest in investigating techniques and devices for electronic equipment with flexible covers and screens that do not have the limitations and problems associated with traditional solutions. The document reveals the design of a folding device, detailing the concept of how the covers play a role in ensuring that the rest of the equipment works as intended, and above all protecting the screen under the flexible glass.

According to the patent recently published by the US Patent and Trademark Office, the equipment has three possible configurations of use: open, half-open and folded. Apparently, Apple is considering using sensors to turn off or suspend the screen when the device is folded. The Cupertino giant indicates that the folding device will only have two hinges and three screens in order to fold in the shape of S, G and U.

Apple refers to a variety of ceramic materials for folding screens, including chemically reinforced glass or sapphire. The company explains in the document that the glass would have to be manufactured to withstand the movements of bending the equipment, and to be pleasant enough to the user's experience and experience.

For now, there is no certainty as to whether Apple will in fact launch the equipment as described in the document. The company regularly registers several patents, but not all of the indicated features do not always become a reality. However, one thing is certain: Apple was not indifferent to the fashion of folding equipment.
