New macOS Sierra virtual keyboards basically confirm the existence of the OLED function bar on the new MacBook Pro

If there is any product that can compete with the iPhone 7 is the infamous title of “Apple's most leaked / discovered product before its official release in 2016”, it certainly goes by the name of MacBook Pro Unless there is a tragedy from now on, there will be a nice update in a couple of days.

The main novelty in the upgrade, no doubt, is the likely new function bar that replaces the plastic keys with a looongo panel OLED sensitive to touch, which has been speculated for months. Because the latest update of macOS Sierra pretty much confirms the existence of the new bar.

MacOS Sierra virtual keyboards without function bar

A reader of MacRumors He found that among the many virtual keyboard models in MacOS 10.12.1, three are new and, intriguingly, lack the notorious upper function keys in their layout. Of course, the keyboard itself is not present in the keyboard designs itself as opposed to the physical keyboard, it is controlled exclusively by software, so it makes no sense to be part of the system's virtual keyboard.

With that, we have one more (almost) proof that, when they come, the new MBPs will have a very attractive visual and function appeal. Now the other questions remain: where to stay the speculated Touch ID? Will we be left with USB-C, anyway? What about the headphone jack? And the blessed Esc key ?!

In less than 48 hours, we'll find out.
