The new options – yes, there are two – are available only as customization on the top-of-the-line 15 ″ MacBook Pro. As we can see in the image above, interested parties can choose to Radeon Pro Vega 16 with 4GB HBM2 memory or by Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB HBM2 memory; doing this, the price of the MBP jumps from R $ 24,600 to R $ 26,600 or to R $ 27,400, respectively – this, of course, leaving out any further customization.

In the United States, upgrades cost $ 250 or $ 350 respectively, raising the total price of the machine to $ 3,050 or $ 3,150 (plus fees).

According to Apple, the new cards provide up to 60% faster graphics performance for more intensive tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. In addition, AMD claims that its second-generation high-bandwidth memory technology for the cards is superior to the standard GDDR5, with the added bonus of more energy efficiency.
