New MacBooks Air come with Mac OS X and iLife on a USB stick

If there was any doubt that Apple really wants to get rid of optical drives for good, I think that the new MacBooks Air can do away with it: in addition to not having this component, one of the primary functions of optical discs, installing the operating system in case of failure, has just been eliminated. A flash drive containing Mac OS X and iLife now comes with Ma's new ultra-thin notebooks.
