Citing a super reliable source, the 9 to 5 Mac published just now part numbers which indicate that new MacBooks Air and Macs Pro may be launched this week, alongside OS X Lion.
The new Airs will retain the structure of two 11-inch and two 13-inch models:
- MC965LL / A – K21
- MC966LL / A – K21
- MC968LL / A – K78
- MC969LL / A – K78
BTO (customized) versions will also be available, of course.
For Macs Pro I will come with three models and an updated “Server” version:
- MC815LL / A – J40I
- MC816LL / A – J40
- MC936LL / A – J40
- MC914LL / A – J59
Airs are expected not to bring about significant changes other than processor upgrades ("Sandy Bridge" arriving at last) and the addition of Thunderbolt ports. Macs Pro will be able to receive a cooler update, even with a renewed housing that is more compact and compatible with racks.
These are likely to be the first Macs that I’ve seen with factory-installed Lion.
