After traces of a possible new service called Google Web Drive in the Mac version of Picasa, a recent change to the Google Apps CSS file reveals the addition a class called “webdrive” and a new icon ().
Gdrive, as it was called by the blogosphere, will work as a file sharing and storage service. The idea, which is based directly on the concept of cloud computing, will help Google bring the files that tie users to their computers onto the web.
Although Google has a history of offering products and services for free, Gdrive can be made available with limited space, but it will present an expansion plan for those who need more space, just as it is currently with Gmail and PicasaWeb.
Is this the final proof that the awaited Gdrive is about to be born?
