Last year, the Disney launched the #BigDreamPrincess campaign, an initiative that selected 19 photographers from 15 different countries, which captured the stories of young women who served to inspire children and adolescents to achieve their goals. This year, Disney resumed the campaign with a new proposal: to encourage the formation of new filmmakers.
In this new phase of the campaign announced by Disney, 21 young people from different countries and regions of the world were chosen who gained the chance to produce digital shorts about the stories of women in the cinema industry that are inspirations for a whole generation.
Among the characters of great importance and who serve as role models for a generation of future filmmakers, is Disney writer and CCO Jennifer Lee (winner of the 2013 Academy Award for Best Animated Film) "Frozen"), as informed by Variety.
Each short will be recorded exclusively on iPhone X and edited in a MacBook Pro equipped with Final Cut Pro X. In addition, Apple technicians and video specialists will provide exclusive workshops for the 21 participants, including hands-on training and orientation sessions with Ma, Summerjax professionals and other Disney creative specialists.
After the learning sessions, each young person will return to their country of origin to begin filming. Still, they will be guided by technicians from Apple, Disney and Summerjax until the release of the shorts, expected in October this year.
The series of #DreamBigPrincess shorts will be shared among the different Disney social platforms with the aim of raising $ 1 million for the Girl Upis a global United Nations initiative that reaches over 80,000 women in 100 countries and regions around the world.
