New Beats headphones completely wireless may arrive in April

According to the report, Beats may launch an updated version of its headphones next month Powerbeats with a fundamental change: the cord that connects the two headphones (visible in the photo above) would be extinguished, making the equipment totally wireless – like the AirPods themselves.

The sources heard by CNET claim that a change of this type would not provide internal competition between Apple products, as, unlike AirPods, Powerbeats are explicitly focused on an active audience, with specific features and protections for users during physical activities and exercises.

Apparently, the new Powerbeats will also be equipped with the new H1 chip that debuted in the new AirPods – and with that, they will also have improved connection capabilities, extended battery time and quick access to Siri through the remote. of voice.

There is still no suspicion regarding the price: the current Powerbeats cost US $ 200 (or R $ 1,450 here in Brazil) – although they can already be found in stores like Amazon for up to half of that – which is also indicative of its update. next. The new AirPods, in their most expensive version, also come at this price, which, according to sources, may indicate a price increase in the new Powerbeats (perhaps for $ 250).
