New Apple campus in Sunnyvale is also almost ready

O Apple Park, in Cupertino, is undoubtedly one of the most iconic works of modern architecture. But this is not Ma's only futuristic campus in the region. Over there, in Sunnyvale (also in Silicon Valley), employees will have a very beautiful and pleasant place to work, as we already show here on the website. And the works over there are also being completed, according to the 9to5Mac.

It is worth noting that this is a campus designed and built by Apple. O Central & Wolfe (it got its name because of its location, at the intersection of Central Expressway with the Wolfe Road) a Landbank Investments project designed by the HOK office. The campus, formerly occupied by ForteMedia, is 72,000m long and can house about 3,000 people in Ma “simple” location.

Apparently, as we can see from the images, the works are almost finished. Similar to Apple Park, Central & Wolfe also values sustainability, with two levels of parking located below the main office buildings, in addition to a garage. Because of this (underground parking), the project won LEED Platinum certification. The initial plans for the campus also involve more than 8,000m of gardens on the terrace and more than 3.2km of trails for walking, running and cycling.

Both the ground floor of the complex and a building detached from the main are reserved for a cafeteria (probably a Caff Macs), a gym, a conference center and an amphitheater for 500 people. According to HOK, the campus will have an open plan, an increasingly common layout for many offices in Silicon Valley.

According to Level 10 (responsible for the construction), the works would finish in November 2017, but it is quite possible that they will extend until the beginning of 2018. Is it looking beautiful, anyway?

In a related note released by the San Jose Mercury News, Apple has rented in Sunnyvale, since 2012, a space of more than 20,800m known as Sunnyvale Research Center, which is spread over four buildings. Recently, the site was sold for ~ US $ 100 million to the First American Exchange, however, it seems that this company will transfer the property to Applied Materials.

It remains to be seen, now, if Apple renew the contract after his termination or if Central & Wolfe serves precisely to house employees who are spread over Sunnyvale, such as those at the Research Center.
