Netflix announces changes to its TV apps, including Apple TV

On its way towards world domination, the Netflix continues to announce occasional changes in the applications that make up its platform to bring an experience that sucks the user as effectively as possible in its content swirl and leave it there like an acrid zombie, but, I got lost here.

Anyway: the fact that the streaming yesterday announced a change in its experience on TVs ie encompassing Netflix apps for smart TVs, video game consoles and set-top boxes like Apple TV.

At first glance, the redesign may seem simple, but it was the result of months of research and testing with a clear objective: to make navigation easier on TVs, allowing the user to find the title he wants or receive recommendations more easily than ever before. with a modern control device, such as Siri Remote, or with an archaic boat remote control from the past century.

New Netflix experience on TVs and Apple TV

As the main novelty of the update, the apps now feature a sidebar with the main discovery options of the platform, including a direct shortcut to series or movies, a search tool, a button for your list and the option “New”, which shows what recently arrived in the Netflix catalog.

Within each of the options, the design is similar to what we have almost always had, with the carousel of titles arranged by subthemes or patterns of preference. The emphasis on the original content, however, is greater than ever: the top of each page is always reserved for a trailer or clip from a Netflix original movie or series.

Netflix's new TV experience has begun to be distributed gradually to users. Did you enjoy the change?
