Nan Carbon nanotube transistors promise faster processors

The computer industry sees the carbon nanotube transistors as a kind of holy grail. They promise not only faster performance and lower power consumption than silicon, but a way to prevent stagnation of processing technology and the death of Moore's Law. However, its speed in the real world has always lagged behind conventional technology, at least so far. Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have created what they say are the first carbon nanotube transistors that can overcome modern silence.
