Mozilla promises 2x more performance on Firefox Quantum, version 57 of its browser that arrives in November

I know well that the 12% of you, readers of who use the Firefox, do not leave the browser of the red panda fox for nothing.

And not least: Firefox is well established and very complete. For those who are anti-Google and do not like the simplicity of Safari, there is no better choice. I spent some time using it myself a few months ago, but for personal taste I ended up going back to Chrome.

Behold, Mozilla yesterday announced a beautiful reason not only for this 12% to remain in Firefox, as for those who know that share until increasing in a few months. And the foundation calls this Firefox Quantum.

Firefox Quantum

Quantum basically version 57 of Firefox, due to be officially launched on the day November 14. It deserved a special name because it is really very significant, incorporating a new engine that promises a performance at 2x higher current and consuming 30% less memory than Chrome. Sounds like music to the ears, doesn't it?

They were quite fair in the comparative video released, by the way:

Mozilla will also take advantage of the big upgrade to put an updated interface in Firefox (called “Photon”), more adapted to the latest versions of all operating systems (macOS High Sierra 10.13, iOS 11, Windows 10 and Android 8.0 Oreo), with some new features, more privacy options, among others.

For those who do not want to wait these two and a half months, Firefox Quantum is now available in beta. Tell us in the comments below what you are thinking of him!
