Apple chooses a weekly Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on production) R $ 9.90, and we do MacMagazine we also took the opportunity to mine other offers with the same value.
The title selected by Apple this time was “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu”, with Justice Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Kathryn Newton, Suki Waterhouse, Omar Chaparro, Chris Geere, Ken Watanabe and Bill Nighy.
Check out his trailer:
Here is the synopsis of the film:
When the great detective Harry Goodman mysteriously disappears, his son Tim (Justice Smith) embarks on a journey to find out what happened. Assisting him in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds), a hilarious, smart and adorable super-detective. Discovering that they are strangely perfect for working together, since Tim is the only human capable of speaking to Pikachu, they join forces to solve all the mysteries in this exciting adventure. In their search for clues on the lit streets of Ryme City – a great modern metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic world – they encounter a diverse cast of Pokémon characters and discover an amazing plan, capable of destroying this coexistence peaceful and put the entire Pokémon universe in danger.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a comment about the film:
Pikachu is a worldwide success, whether through games, comics, cards among others. In this way, many expected that their first live action went on the same path, but the director’s choice was to keep some characters and introduce a simple plot for young people and adults. Ryan Reynolds gave voice / life to the coffee addict and took his jokes à la “Deadpool” lightly to the yellow character. As a result, we have a simple and fun movie for the whole family.
