In addition to App of the week, every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week, whose purchase is only $ 3. The title selected this time was the classic Pulp Fiction: Time of Violence, by director Quentin Tarantino.
Check out his trailer:
Here's what Apple says about the movie:
After the acclaimed debut with the film “Ces de Rental”, the ex-attendant of a video rental company who became a film director, Quentin Tarantino, avoided a disappointment of expectations and risked when he returned two years later with “Pulp Fiction”, a Incredibly fun black comedy that has marked generations on the intricacies of crime. The feature enchanted film fans and critics with the fast-paced, rhythmic rhythm and non-linear chronology of three distinct stories, long and striking dialogues, irresistible rock music and constant tributes to classic films and B-films. Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel and Ving Rhames give an acting show and are brilliant in their characters.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio (@tripalavra), who is a cardholder, was also willing to send us a personalized comment about the film:
Ah, Tarantino and his always sensational narrative structure! O Movie of the week a classic that deserves a peculiar and detailed comment. Let's start with the film's cast: Tarantino already knew who he wanted in the cast from what he wanted in the cast and what revitalized the careers of John Travolta (who since Look Who's Talking couldn't get a quality role), Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman? His choices for the three parallel stories involved the hard-to-kill Bruce Willis, for the character of the tough boxer. And all of this went against the budget of the film, which was so low that many of the scenes were recorded in the same place, one hour a bar, another a cafeteria and so on. To give you an idea, they first closed with a producer from actor Danny DeVito with a very low budget; later, when they recruited Willis for the cast, Miramax entered the scene and put more money into the project because the actor had more global exposure at the time, which helped to refine the production and its distribution. Anyway, the soap opera, film, series, drama, adventure and black humor deserve my maximum note. Soon Tarantino will bring us the wild West The Hated 8 (The Hateful Eight), with Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Channing Tatum, among others.
