Here is the synopsis of the film:
DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio bring “Abominable” – an adventure that will take audiences on an epic journey that will take you through the streets of Shanghai to the stunning Himalayan glaciers. When teenage Yi (Chloe Bennet) meets a young Yeti on the roof of her Shanghai building, she, Jin (Tenzing Norgay) and Peng (Albert Tsai) – his mischievous friends – nickname him “Everest” and embark on an epic mission to reunite the magical creature with his family at the highest point on Earth. But, the trio of friends will always have to be one step ahead of Burnish (Eddie Izzard), a wealthy man who intends to capture the Yeti and zoologist Dr. Zara (Sarah Paulson) to help Everest get home. Directed by Jill Culton and produced by Suzanne Buirgy, “Abominable” features executive production by Tim Johnson and is co-directed by Todd Wilderman.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a comment about the film:
“Abominable” is not a film as the name suggests. In fact, the idea of how they played with the name of the film was very well elaborated, because in certain moments you understand who really can be really… abominable. We are not talking about a Disney / Pixar production, but a simple and competent film. The cast follows the same line and the result, ditto. I recommend it for the kids!
