Every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on production) R $ 9.90. The title selected this time was “Robin Hood: The Origin”, with Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.

Here’s what Apple says about the movie:
The Robin Hood legend has spawned several film adaptations, so it’s hardly surprising to see Taron Egerton (“Kingsman: Secret Service”) taking on the hero’s bow and arrow. In this version of Otto Bathurst, Robin is a nobleman who returns to Nottingham after being considered dead in battle. He learns that the family’s fortune was confiscated by the sheriff (Ben Mendelsohn) and that his beloved Marian (Eve Hewson) ended up in the arms of an aristocrat (Jamie Dornan). Bathurst modernizes the archer’s fight for justice with fast and explosive action scenes.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:
Moving away from the 6,049 adaptations made for the big screen, this is one of the weakest. We have in it the “new Elton John” (Taron Egerton, who can be seen soon in the singer’s biopic) and the “old Ray Charles” (Jamie Foxx, who can be seen in the “Ray” biopic), making this production a waste of talent and potential. But then you can ask: “Renato, is it really that bad?” No, but it is far from good – and far, for example, from the version with Kevin Costner or even that funny one, from Mel Brooks.
