In addition to App of the week, every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week, whose purchase is only $ 3. The title selected this time was Promises of War, with Russell Crowe.
Check out his trailer:
Here's what Apple says about the movie:
Russell Crowe's intensity in playing memorable roles in the seventh art extends in the direction of Promises of War. The plot revolves around Connor, played by Crowe himself, who goes in search of his children after the combat of Galpoli, one of the most aggressive of the First World War. The earthy color palette of the photograph is perfectly in tune with the work of the debuting director in conducting scenes of singular aesthetics. Behind a world deteriorated by hostile violence, there is a film that touches and humanizes a reality in which there are no winners.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio (@tripalavra), who is a cardholder, also was willing to send us a personalized comment about the film:
THE Movie of the week a beautiful debut by Russell Crowe as director. I think that, if a big studio and a big producer were behind this production, script and photography errors would be corrected and the film would have been a classic! But he was a box office and rental failure /streaming, and ended up reaching us as Movie of the week what a pleasant surprise for a production that is worth it!
