Movie of the week: buy “Crisis of the Middle Age”, with Johnny Simmons, for R $ 9.90!

Every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on the production) R $ 9.90. The title selected this time was "Middle age crisis", with Johnny Simmons.

Check out his trailer:

Here's what Apple says about the movie:

After awakening the interest of several directors, the adaptation of the autobiography of journalist Ken Baker ended in the hands of Kevin Pollak, a well-known television series actor, but a newcomer in the direction of a fictional feature. The plot tells the story of Peter (Johnny Simmons), a sex therapist affected by the discovery of a brain tumor that did not reach puberty. After surgery, he has to deal with high hormones after years of inactivity. The comedy follows the line of the works of Judd Apatow ("The 40 Year Old Virgin") by betting on the embarrassing situations experienced by the character, but maintaining a romantic side.

As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio (@tripalavra), who is a cardholder, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:

Not always, when an actor ventures out as a director, things get right. Quite the contrary; most of the time, the results are regular and go unnoticed. Okay, you may remember some who were successful in both positions like Clint Eastwood, but it would be heresy to compare them. O Movie of the week has an interesting cast, but a weak script that sought to make a theme there "American Pie" something for middle age, with similar doses of humor. The result is translated into a weak film, which will bring few laughs and many memories of other productions of the genre.
