Here’s what Apple says about the movie:

The discovery of first love is overwhelming, but it is usually accompanied by uncertainty and questioning. In this drama by Italian Luca Guadagnino, the avalanche of feelings is treated in a sensitive way with the protagonism of Elio (Timothée Chalamet), a teenager who sees his world turn upside down when he falls in love with an older man (Armie Hammer) during the summer. The adaptation of André Aciman’s book by James Ivory is of a refreshing purity, enhanced by the beautiful scenery of Lombardy and the performance of the cast, especially Michael Stuhlbarg, as Elio’s father.

As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:

THE Movie of the week it was highlighted for its delicacy, the way it was conducted, the harmony between the protagonists and the way a great book was adapted. I read a review that said the film spoiled the essence of the book; I didn’t see it that way, in fact I understand that two hours will never detail what a book with many pages does, just as the imagination that carries us during reading will never be the same, since it is unique and individual. Even so, I believe this is the main reason why a sequence is already triggered, that is, to deliver more to the fans.
