Movie of the week: buy “A Mula”, by Clint Eastwood, for R $ 9.90!

Every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on production) R $ 9.90.

The title selected this time was “The Mule”, with Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Peña, Dianne Wiest and Andy Garcia, directed by Clint Eastwood (who also acts in the film).

Check out his trailer:

Here is the synopsis of the film:

Eastwood plays Earl Stone, an 80-year-old man who is broke, alone and facing the closure of his business when he receives a job offer whose only responsibility is to drive. Too easy, though, without knowing it, Earl is being hired as a drug mule for a Mexican cartel. It does well – so well, in fact, that its load grows exponentially until Earl is assigned to a receiver. However, this is not the only one with an eye on Earl, as the new and mysterious mule also caught the attention of agent Colin Bates, in charge of Narcotics. Although the financial troubles are over, the mistakes of the past begin to weigh on Earl and it is uncertain whether he will have enough time to correct them before he is caught by law or by cartel executors.

As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:

Talking about a film in which Clint Eastwood acts and directs is almost a beard. Renowned actor and director, brought a production that divided opinions; the film went almost unnoticed in theaters, there was little advertising and now it is here on sale in the iTunes Store. The script is good, the driving a little out of step, but nothing that gets in the way of the film and its story. I particularly liked it – it’s not an “About Boys and Wolves” or “Gran Torino”, but it’s a good movie.
