Movie of the week: buy “3:17 pm: Train to Paris”, by Clint Eastwood, for R $ 9.90!

Every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on production) R $ 9.90. The title selected this time was “3:17 pm: Train to Paris”, by director Clint Eastwood.

Check out his trailer:

Here’s what Apple says about the movie:

Well-established and with a career spanning over 60 years, Clint Eastwood continues to look for new ways to tell stories – behind or in front of the camera. In “3:17 pm: Train to Paris”, Eastwood is only in the director’s chair, but he dares to cast as actors the real heroes who prevented a terrorist attack on a train in Europe in 2015. Throughout the drama, we immersed ourselves in the lives of the three American friends and in the events that precede the attack attempt during the holidays. The result is a powerful intersection between cinema and documentary that exalts altruism in each of us.

As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio [@tripalavra], who is a movie buff, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:

THE Movie of the week was detonated by criticism in general. I don’t agree, but let’s dissect the film. The director needs no presentations or honorable mentions (either as an actor); the script was made in a documentary format, without many nuances and fictions – that is, the focus was on telling real stories and telling them. Okay, we can discuss some flaws, the conduct of the film sometimes slow and without emotion, but remember that the idea was something along the lines of a documentary. There is not much questioning of the performances – the “actors” were the real characters of what happened, so imagine what it would be like to go through that situation and then recreate it? Without fiction, there would be no way to do it if not in the way it was. In my opinion, the film is okay.
