New Motorola One Fusion + and Fusion seek to offer "optimized synergy" of features, with Quad Camera system and Snapdragon processor

The new smartphones Fusion + and Fusion family arrive Motorola One this Thursday (16). The models aim to deliver an “optimized synergy of specifications”, according to the company.

Also according to Motorola, this synergy present in the new smartphones includes a versatile system for photos (through the four rear cameras and the front camera), a powerful performance entitled to intelligent energy management and Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrated into the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon and a battery that can last up to two days.

"The Motorola One Fusion + and Fusion bring a real fusion of elements: advanced camera system, powerful battery and high performance processor ”

Thiago Masuchette, Head of Products at Motorola Brazil

THE Motorola One Fusion + brings a 6.5 inch Full HD and Total Vision screen. This means that the screen extends from edge to edge, occupying the entire front of the device. The screen also has HDR10 certification, which guarantees vivid colors with improved brightness and contrast when viewing photos, series and films.

This Total Vision design is possible because the front camera of the Fusion + it has a pop-up technology that makes it “hidden” inside the device and triggered by the user. Being inside the smartphone, the camera does not need a notch on the display, which allows the screen to occupy the entire space.

Another novelty related to Fusion + that the smartphone is part of YouTube Signature Devices. This ensures that the device delivers the best experience on the platform by combining its screen with video performance technology. Thus, Motorola One Fusion + offers HDR videos in 360 (completely immersive) and fast loading time, even for 4K videos.

THE Motorola One Fusion it also features a 6.5 inch screen, but in HD + and Max Vision resolution, as it has a notch on the top in the center of the display that houses the front camera.

The two new smartphones in the family Motorola One have a dedicated button for Google Assistant, which is in the upper right.

The dedicated button is a useful resource because you just need to press it to ask for a virtual assistant, for example, to search for restaurants, more played playlists or even to tell what type of flower you are seeing. It goes from your need (and curiosity) and you don't have to say OK Google to activate the virtual assistant.

At the bottom of the smartphones are the headphone jack, USB-C jack and the speakers. In case of Motorola One Fusion +, the speakers are four times more powerful than previous models of the Motorola One family, according to Thiago Masuchette, Head of Products at Motorola Brazil.

On the back, on both new smartphones, there is the four camera system and the digital sensor – with the Motorola logo to unlock the screen.

The new models Fusion + and Fusion of the family Motorola One they are equipped with a system of four rear cameras (also called Quad Camera) and a front camera. The objective of this system, according to the company's Head of Products, "to offer the consumer a complete immersion in the world of photography".

What changes between the two new models in the Motorola One family are the sensor resolutions and the fact that the front camera of the Fusion + be pop-up while the Fusion housed in notch on the display. Check out the camera systems of each model below:

Motorola One Fusion +:

  • Main lens (64MP);
  • Ultra-wide-angle lens (8MP);
  • Macro lens (5MP);
  • Depth sensor (2MP);
  • Front camera (16MP).

Motorola One Fusion:

  • Main lens (48MP);
  • Ultra-wide-angle lens (8MP);
  • Macro lens (5MP);
  • Depth Sensor (2MP);
  • Front camera (8MP).

According to Motorola, the camera system Fusion + allows the capture of ultra-realistic images of high resolution, in addition to selfies with blurred background and close-ups with great detail.

The main lens equipped with Quad Pixel technology and Night Vision, which combines four pixels to form a giant pixel, providing four times more light sensitivity in low light environments. This ensures that each photo is clear and bright in any type of environment, according to the manufacturer.

THE Motorola One Fusion + it also has an ultra-wide lens of 118, which allows four times the scene to be framed, and a macro lens, which makes the photographed object five times closer compared to a normal lens. The depth sensor guarantees the “blurred background” effect, which highlights who (or what) is in the foreground of the photo.

The front pop-up camera of the Fusion + captures the best angle in any light, according to Motorola, thanks to Quad Pixel and Night Vision technologies. After being triggered, the camera takes less than a second to appear and be ready for use, according to the company.

The Head of Products, Thiago Masuchette, explained that the front camera works in a system that has protection against dirt and falls. "If dirt gets in, it is only damped in the camera part, that is, it does not spread to the other internal components of the device," he said. The fall arrest system works like this: if the smartphone falls while the front camera is activated, the system identifies that the device is falling and retracts the camera automatically.

The Quad Camera system Motorola One Fusion it is not far behind. The main 48MP lens also features Quad Pixel technology, which Motorola said ensures clearer, brighter pictures from any perspective and type of brightness.

The model also has an ultra-wide lens of 118, capable of framing four times the scene, and a macro lens that captures the smallest details of an object. The system Motorola One Fusion it also has a depth sensor, which provides the blurred background for the photos.

Hardware and performance

The two new models in the family Motorola One they are equipped with what the manufacturer called a 5,000mAh "super battery", which can last up to two days. In the case of Fusion +, the battery also features Motorola's Turbo Power technology, "which guarantees hours of use with a few minutes of charge," explained the Head of Products.

THE Motorola One Fusion + brings the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, which brings high performance performance and advanced AI features that work in conjunction with the device's 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. According to the company, the processor guarantees 20% faster performance, compared to previous models of the Motorola One family.

The processor Fusion + it also offers more power for graphic processing, which is useful for videos and, mainly, games. Motorola explained that the processor's mobile platform was developed to increase the efficiency of the device's more sophisticated tasks.

Another detail in relation to the Snapdragon 730 is its manufacture in 8 nm process, which reduces its dimensions and ensures more efficiency in energy management, Motorola said. The processor also acts on the performance of the camera system, offering AI features that suggest the activation of Night Vision mode when identifying that the user is shooting in a low light environment.

J o Motorola One Fusion brings the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, which is a little more modest, and also has 4GB of RAM. Internal storage, however, half of Fusion +: 64GB. The component was designed to optimize the AI experience, ensuring ultra-fast and efficient performance, according to Motorola.

In practice, this processor allows the user to perform multiple tasks on the smartphone and switch between applications without effort or problems.

An important detail in relation to the hardware of the new smartphones that they do not have NFC, acronym in English for "Near Field Communication" ("Communication by field of proximity", in free translation). This is the technology of wireless data exchange by proximity between two devices, widely used for payments by approach.

Software

Both the Motorola One Fusion + how much Fusion follow the company's commitment to providing the consumer with the purest version of Android, without unnecessary software layers and without duplicate applications.

Both bring the Android 10 shipped as an operating system, guaranteed to be updated to Android 11 when it is released. The company's Head of Products also reported that the devices feature privacy package features from Android until 2022.

The new smartphones of the family Motorola One they also have “Minha UX”, which includes all “Moto Experiences” and a series of customizations for the appearance of Android (icons, keyboard, layouts, etc.). The feature also allows users to explore customized settings and advanced controls for music, videos and games.

It is still possible for users to create their own themes in “My UX”, choosing fonts, colors and shapes of icons, in addition to fingerprint sensor animations. According to Thiago Masuchette, Motorola developed this feature to work as a shortcut, with the objective of facilitating the user's access to this customization that already integrates the “Developer Mode” of Android 10.
