Motorola may launch gold model of the “modern” and foldable version of the Razr

Motorola's first bet in the world of foldable smartphones has already officially started to be marketed in the United States after a pre-sale period beginning on January 26 this year. While the Razr does not arrive in Europe, the company may be thinking of launching a golden version of the smartphone, possibly inspired by the old Motorola Razr2 Gold Luxury Edition still on the Razr V3i carried out in collaboration with Dolce & Gabanna.

Whoever recommends it Evan Blass, the American blogger known for having privileged information about mobile equipment before they were launched, who made the leak known through his Twitter account. For now, the blogger did not share any information about the specifications of the golden version of the smartphone.

Although there are plans to extend the commercialization of the original version of the Razr to other markets, there are still no set dates. For now, the device is exclusive to Verizon and is available at the operator's stores, on the Motorola website and at Walmart.

Unlike Samsung's Galaxy Fold or Huawei's Mate X, the Motorola Razr, which SAPO TEK has already tried at CES, folds vertically, in a shell shape. Weighing 205 grams, Motorola's Razr, when open, features a 6.2-inch OLED screen, 172x72mm in size and 6.9mm in thickness.

When it is closed, the smartphone takes on a compact form, remaining half the size, and all notifications are visible on the external screen. To ensure that the Razr's hinge works efficiently and that the smartphone does not have an empty space that accumulates dust or garbage when closed, Lenovo tested more than 20 prototypes. Inside the retrofuturistic version of the Motorola classic is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The smartphone also has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and 2,500 mAh batteries.
