Motorola Edge + may bring 108 megapixel main camera

Motorola fans have been waiting for a long time for a new top of the line. The last smartphone with a 800 series processor was the Moto Z2 Force.

Now it seems that the wait is coming to an end, as the company is preparing a smartphone with high performance specifications in processing, camera and battery. Yes, I'm talking about Motorola Edge +.

Last week, two renderings appeared online showing the smartphone and its set of triple cameras. According to reports via @TechDroider on Twitter, Moto Edge + will be the company's first smartphone to bring a set of cameras, the main one of which has a 108 megapixel sensor.

The tweet describes a set of three cameras with a main 108 megapixel sensor, a second 16 megapixel ultra wide angle sensor and a third 8 megapixel telephoto sensor.

The above specifications are similar to those found on the Motorola One Zoom, with the main camera in the middle having 48 megapixels. So there is a great possibility that the above information will be confirmed very soon.

The 108 megapixel sensor would certainly be Samsung's ISOCell HMX since the only one being used in the market by the competition, it is not clear whether it will be the tetracell version that Xiaomi uses or the nonacell version used by Samsung in the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Speaking now of selfies, we have a 25 megapixel front camera in a minimal hole in the smartphone screen and, speaking of the screen, we will have a 6.67 inch, FullHD + screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and variants with amount of RAM and storage are expected. Other features include 5G connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack and a huge 5.170mAh battery.
