<p><span class=By early March Motorola had already started testing the final version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Moto Maxx. Many users have contacted us that the soak test was coming through an OTA notification.

What's new is the long-awaited Power Twelve Mode, which should bring even more autonomy to the device, as well as Android Marshmallow's permission control and security.

To check out all system changes, go to the Moto Maxx update page on the official Motorola website.

Moto Maxx: Security Patch Implementation

The latest Moto Maxx software update concerned the implementation of the patches to correct the problem known as Stagefright.

It works like this: you get a notification informing you of a new software update. To find out if you can already download and install this patch security, go to Settings> About Phone> System Updates.

For those unfamiliar with the term, security breach Stagefright It is linked to video processing by a system library and mainly to attachments sent via MMS messages. According to the researchers, the vulnerability could be present on all devices running Android Froyo 2.2 at the latest with Android 5.1 Lollipop. The flaw provides privileged access to the hacker who, through MMS messaging with attached videos, can exploit and execute various commands on the device.

Moto Maxx: Android Update Lollipop 5.1

Brazilian owners of Moto Maxx already have the update to version 5.0.2 of Android Lollipop.

North American Motorola announced on its Twitter channel in June 2015 that the Droid Turbo (Moto Maxx in Brazil) would start receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop update.

Unfortunately, despite all the allegations about the new system coming to the device in Brazil, this rumor has never seen the light of day, and even today users are anxious about this update. At the moment, it seems that Motorola will skip Lollipop 5.1 in the country, upgrading the device directly to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

How to know if an update is available for your device?
