Coronavirus: more than half of Chinese Apple Stores have reopened

Less than a week ago, we reported that Apple had reopened 11 more stores in China, as the coronavirus outbreak (aka COVID-19) is contained.

Now, according to a report by Bloomberg, more than half of Chinese Apple Stores have reopened.

All, however, are still operating at special times.

Apple currently has 42 physical stores in China.

By the accounts of Bloomberg, 29 of them have already received clients again – most of them only from 11 am to 6 pm, while they are usually open for at least 12 hours.

Due to the Coronavirus, it is estimated that worldwide smartphone sales at the beginning of 2020 are expected to be the lowest in five years.

On the other hand, as we reported yesterday, the outbreak ended up having a positive impact on tablet sales in China.

Apple has already told shareholders / investors that it will no longer be able to beat its revenue target this fiscal quarter.
