Ready for another round of rumors about the spectacular "IPhone X" (or "iPhone 8", or whatever name you prefer to give to the formidable ten-year commemorative model of the Apple smartphone)? Well, let's go.
Today's speculation is courtesy of Chinese market research firm TrendForce, and, at least in parts, corroborate rumors already heard about the “iPhone X”. According to our friends on the other side of the world, this model will come with a 5.8-inch OLED screen and will be close to 2: 1, which will occupy the entire front face of the device, whose measurements will be similar to the current iPhone 7, 4, 7 inches.
The Incio button (Home) disappear and its functions, such as Touch ID, will be incorporated into the screen itself. The report also cites the presence of 3D frontal sensors for facial recognition and use in augmented reality applications; apparently, this security feature would be used in combination with the biometric sensor, and not as a replacement.
According to the Chinese, the “iPhone X” only comes with options of 64GB or 256GB of storage, which may sound a little scary if we combine this with that rumor that the device would not come out for less than $ 1,000 in the United States however , it would not be difficult to imagine Apple putting a $ 999 stamp on the 64GB version and going to sleep happy to publicize the spectacular new iPhone “for less than a thousand dollars”. They also claim that the smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM, as already standard on the iPhone 7 Plus and, in this case, Apple deserves with glory the trophy "does not do more than its obligation".
Other information from TrendForce can fall like a bucket of cold water for those who expected an iPhone with futuristic design in the mold of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. According to the Chinese, Ma would have given up on implementing a curved screen on the device after problems both in the production of the displays and in drop tests that showed fragility above acceptable. Instead, the “iPhone X” features an end-to-end flat screen, where only the glass that lines it curves subtly at the edges as it already does on the iPhones 7 and 7 Plus.
Finally, the report reaffirms that, in addition to this “iPhone X”, Apple will present at the same time the updates of the current models (“iPhone 7s” and “7s Plus”, probably) that will occupy similar price ranges to those we currently have.
