More evidence comes from Apple's news service, now in macOS Mojave 10.14.4 beta 5

Day March 25 we will have Apple event with full coverage of the , clear. In it, it is already clear that we will meet the new service of streaming from videos Apple (although it is not actually released now, as rumors indicate). Another one that could show its face and that even originated the first rumor from reliable sources about an event this month. news service (newspapers and magazines) from Ma.

As we reported, Apple recently purchased Texture to create this service and we have even seen a preview of things to come. Now, on macOS 10.14.4 beta 5, they suggest more evidence of the service, as the developer showed. Steve Troughton-Smith:

Unsurprisingly, it seems that the Apple News magazine service is ready to be launched on MacOS as well.

The images show screenshots of notifications, which alert subscribers when new issues of their favorite magazines are available.

There is a lot you can understand about Apple News magazines that are in the operating system betas: for example, magazines are PDF-based (like most iPad magazines), and editions can be stored offline. The genres of the magazine are listed as in the image. Most of your code is written in Swift.

How the service works, however, is still an unknown one. Does Apple charge anything around $ 10, giving access to the entire collection? Or does the $ 10 subscription (suggested price not yet disclosed) give access to only part of the content, with other vehicles (newspapers and magazines) using their own payment / subscription system, but accessed by the News application itself? This second model, for example, looks more like what we are hearing about streaming of videos (which rely on original Apple content and access to other services such as HBO GO, Starz, etc. through the Apple TV app).

The good part is that we need to know the details of these two new services from Ma! 😉
