Minimize virtually any video in Safari on the iPad with the small PiPifier utility

One of the best news brought by Apple on iOS 9 for us, iPad users who are used to watching videos on the tablet, was the feature PiP (Picture in Picture), which allows us to continue our other tasks without having to interrupt the playback of what we are watching the minimized video and is in a repositionable window, which overlaps the rest of the interface.

The problem: some sites use players instead of taking advantage of Safari's native player and are therefore left out of the resource. The classic example is the largest video site in the world if you try to minimize a YouTube video on Safari on the iPad, you will be watching ships. Or rather, it would be, because a small utility promises to take PiP to any video on the internet; his name, how could it be, PiPifier.

I am the first to notice that the name of the small iPad app doesn’t sound right in our good old Portuguese language, but that’s the least: PiPifier allows any HTML5 video seen on Safari from Ma’s tablet to be properly minimized , regardless of the site. For this, the utility acts as an extension of Safari just enter the sharing menu of the browser and select the option "Run PiPifier" when you are already on the desired video page.

PiPifier already existed in the Mac App Store as a utility for Ma's computers, but now, expanded to the world of tablets, it becomes even more useful considering the more closed and “fixed” nature of iPads in relation to Macs. The application, compatible with iOS 10.3 or higher, is available for free on the App Store.
