Microsoft has already registered its next console and although it did not reveal, with pomp and circumstance, the official logo of the system, IGN ended up discovering the documentation and unveiling a detail that has yet to be unveiled – at least officially.
The registration request was submitted on April 16 and the logo that can be found in the file follows, as the portal specialized in video games underlines, a path similar to that defined for the design of the Xbox One X and Xbox One S logos.
The record makes it clear that Microsoft intends to place the logo on various objects and not just on the console. We talk about merchandising, of course, like bags, posters, collectible letters and other types of articles.
It is recalled that the Xbox Series X was revealed at the last delivery ceremony of The Game Awards, last December. More recently we also got to know some of the technical specifications of the system that will be equipped with a customized Zen 2 processor, from AMD, reinforced by the RDNA 2 architecture, and capable of reaching the 12 processing TFLOPS, double that of an Xbox One X and eight times more than the original Xbox.
IGN also reveals that the North American technology registered the name "Series X", without the brand before, which may indicate that it is safeguarding the possibility of developing new variants of the console.
There is no evidence that this record is yet another clue that precedes another wave of official revelations.
