Microsoft promises update to fully support Office 2016 on macOS High Sierra 10.13

Whenever Apple releases major updates to its operating systems, there is a risk that apps will stop working partially or completely. In the case of a productivity suite as large as the Office, an advance notice is required.

And that's what Microsoft did. According to the company, Office for Mac 2011 has not been and will not be tested on macOS High Sierra 10.13 and its general support will end on October 10.

As for the current generation, the Office 2016 for Mac, obviously be supported and updated for the High Sierra. Whoever is running version 15.34 or earlier of the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote apps, however, cannot even open them in the new OS:

Office incompatible on macOS High Sierra

As of 15.35, the apps already run with some porn here and there in terms of functionality and, mainly, stability that Microsoft promises to fix in the coming months, while the High Sierra is still in beta.

Not surprisingly, Apple initially intended beta versions of its OS only for developers.
