Microsoft is unaffected by COVID-19 and grows 13%. Revenues reach $ 38 billion

Microsoft published the earnings report for its fourth fiscal quarter, which ended in late June, showing revenues of $ 38 billion, a 13% increase over the same period last year. Highlighted is the Xbox gaming division, whose content and services grew 65% compared to 2019, representing a cash flow of 1.3 billion dollars.

Sales of Surface products also grew significantly by 28%, with revenues of 1.7 billion dollars. The isolation due to COVID-19 has led to a great demand for computers and tablets for teleworking and home teaching.

The big monster of the company's billing is the cloud business, which recorded revenues of 13.4 billion dollars, representing a 17% growth compared to last year. Windows revenue was 337 million, up 6%, driven by Windows OEM and Windows Commercial.

If on the one hand the pandemic triggered the sale of computers, consoles and services, the advertising revenue of its search engine decreased by 353 million, equivalent to 18%, with a reduction in its customers' spending on advertisements.
