After years of trouble, Microsoft finally put it on its channel Insider Fast (beta) new versions in 64-bit of sute software Office 2016 for Mac.
Macs have been equipped with 64-bit processors since the time of Intel's Core 2 Duo chips; OS X itself (Mac) all 64 bits since 2011, with the arrival of Lion, so it was quite a wait.
In addition to improving application performance, support primarily increases the capacity of Excel spreadsheets.
The novelty will be released to all users as soon as it is properly tested / optimized.
This is also an opportunity for developers to update their add-ins, so that they remain compatible in the new architecture.
Anyone who wants can contribute with feedbacks in this Microsoft Community topic.
