Microsoft confirms that it will take Cortana to the iPhone through the Phone Companion app

Confirming a rumor that appeared more than two months ago, Microsoft today announced that it will launch an application Phone Companion from Windows 10 to iPhone until the end of June. And yes, he having the assistant Cortana embedded!

The video above shows how everything works, integrating Windows 10 on the desktop with any Windows, Android or iOS smartphone through this new app. When the person wants to view / synchronize photos and files, for example, Phone Companion will indicate the installation of OneDrive.

Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of the Microsoft operating systems group, spoke on the video that at least on Android Cortana runs as a separate app. On the iPhone it still appears as "coming soon", so it is possible that it will arrive later.

Of course, a good part of Cortana's benefits depend on the native integration it has with Windows as it does with Siri on iOS. But already something.
