Launched almost two years ago, Minecraft to the Apple TV may not have been Microsoft's best move for the popular multiplatform game. I say this because, at the end of last month, the company discontinued the version due to lack of players.
As of Monday, September 24, the Minecraft version for Apple TV will no longer be updated or supported. We are grateful to the Apple TV community for their support, but we need to reallocate resources to the platforms that our players use most. Don't worry, you can continue to play Minecraft on Apple TV, continue building in your world and your purchases from the Marketplace (including Minecoins) will continue to be available.
As a result, the app was removed from the App Store and users who already downloaded the title were informed that the game will not receive any more updates or support. The news was shared by some users on Twitter, including the developer Steve Troughton-Smith.

In the case of users who have already downloaded the application, it will be possible to continue playing without any problems. If the person no longer wants to play and has purchased the game during the 90 days prior to the end of support, Microsoft is offering a refund of the game price and any internal purchases that may have been made; to do so, simply contact Apple customer service.
Developed by Telltale, another game called Minecraft: Story Mode (R $ 17) will continue to be available for Apple TVs on the App Store.
