Meet Trisquel, the Ubuntu-based Linux distribution that uses only Free Software.

Although there are hundreds of Linux distributions today, each with a specialty and a specific audience, there are only a few that we can really say use only Free Software. Free for everything.

Trisquel GNU / Linux

Trisquel, an interesting operating system for its proposal, is based on Ubuntu, which in itself already has a huge repository, but its main philosophical differential. Trisquel GNU / Linux only uses free software by default, this makes your kernel look a little different from normal Ubuntu, several drivers that Canonical's system comes with by default to ensure compatibility with a certain range of hardware and that are just drivers. with proprietary code do not exist on Trisquel natively. Below you see the review of the system by our partner Ivan Fuzzer of the Open Technology channel.

For those interested, you can download the system from the official website of the distribution, click the button below and you will be redirected to it.

There are versions of Trisquel with Gnome and LXDE with 32 and 64 bit architecture.

Tell us what you think of the system and if you used it as your default system.

See you next time!
