The Australian version of Gizmodo said on Monday it had gained access to a training document related to Google's Nexus tablet to be released during the Google I / O developer event.

According to the publication, the tablet will be known as Nexus 7 and should first arrive in Australia in July and be the first device running Android version 4.1, also known as Jelly Bean.

The blog also confirmed some of the technical specifications: it will be manufactured by Asus, with a 1.3GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 12-core GeForce GPU and 1GB of RAM with two different versions of storage: 8GB and 16GB.

Nexus 7 also rely on NFC to run Google Wallet (probably only in the US) and Android Beam. The display will be an IPS screen with a viewing angle of 178 degrees with a resolution of 1280800.

The device also feature a 1.2 megapixel front camera and 9 hour battery life. As for prices, the report states that the 8GB model will come out for $ 199, and the 16GB model for $ 249.
