Malefic influence: iPad would be making panels for netbooks more expensive; suppliers dream to contract with Apple

Devil Horned iPadYou will understand the market: in an hour they say that the iPad is making DRAM memories for PCs cheaper; on the other, the DigiTimes account that LCD panels for netbooks are becoming more expensive. After all, will the iPad make traditional computer prices rise or fall?

The fact that manufacturers of this type of component find tablets a much more profitable business than low-cost computers, than almost no profit (the "almost" option). Now that the focus of the market is all directed towards the iPad, unique in its category of quality, functionality and price, and netbook sales are falling to the point of dragging other categories with it, companies prefer to direct their efforts to fuel the demand for these gadgets, which absolutely refuses to fall.

Samsung and LG Display, which supply panels to Apple, saw their production almost double in a few months. Other companies, like AU Optronics and Chimei Innolux, reduced their shipments by almost half in the same period. For these companies, interrupting production, returning only when there are orders and increasing prices may be the only way out of losing money, which can further worsen the situation of netbooks on the market. It is worth noting that AUO had the lowest drop, perhaps thanks to a partnership between its subsidiary Cando and Ma.

Perhaps the iPad is really magical: how a product can move the market so dramatically, I will never understand.
