The main precautions to be taken on the Internet, advice on the rules to be defined at home for the use of Magalhães and the maintenance of the laptop are described in a Guide that the Ministry of Education has prepared for Parents and Educators. The Guide is available on the e-escolinha website and was prepared by the Competence Center of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
In a didactic and practical tone, the Guide explains the initiative, gives advice on how to help children, but also gives instructions on battery charging, games and educational content.
There is another guide for users, children. Simpler and with an attractive design it gives the first indications about care to take on the Net and with the laptop itself.
TeK was unable to confirm with the Ministry of Education whether these Guides will also be distributed on paper.
It should be remembered that the Ministry of Education has already carried out some training actions for teachers of the first cycle and also provides for training for parents and educators of children who are going to use Magalhães.
