Logitech launches cover with keyboard and trackpad for iPad Pro; OWC and Brydge also have new accessories

Now let’s take another tour of the vast world of accessories!

Logitech

THE Logitech already has an extensive catalog of keyboard covers for all iPad models, and recently added a new option to its range: Folio Touch, the company’s first iPad Pro accessory with a trackpad.

Like the Combo Touch, Folio Touch brings a design that completely protects the iPad, with an adjustable back support that allows it to be positioned at various angles. The accessory connects to the iPad Pro via the Smart Connector (which means there is no need to charge it); the keyboard has a backlight and a row of function keys.

Folio Touch will go on sale this month for $ 160 on the Logitech website and Apple stores; so far, there is mention of only one version for the 11 ″ iPad Pro (all generations), so we will have to wait to see if the manufacturer plans to offer a model for the larger tablets as well.

OWC

Meanwhile, the Other World Computing (OWC) launched the Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock – an extremely portable yet powerful accessory for users who need to expand their Mac’s connectivity options.

By connecting the built-in Thunderbolt 3 cable to the computer, you will have two HDMI ports, capable of powering up to two 4K monitors at 60Hz. We also have a Gigabit Ethernet port, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. The accessory is now available for sale on the OWC website at $ 120.

OWC Thunderbolt 3 to 10G Ethernet Adapter

The manufacturer launched yet another accessory, the Thunderbolt 10G Ethernet Adapter – which, as the name implies, plugs into one of your Mac’s Thunderbolt 3 ports and gives the user a 10G Ethernet port, capable of reaching 900MB / s of transfer speed at high speed networks. The accessory is already on sale on the manufacturer’s website for $ 150.

Brydge

Finally, the Brydge launched its new line of vertical docks for MacBooks – the result of the acquisition of Henge Docks in 2019, which brought a renewed design language to the company.

The accessories come with two USB-C ports for you to recharge the computer and connect an accessory while it is on the pedestal; the ventilation system was designed to complement the thermal design of the computers themselves, preventing them from overheating. You can dock and remove MacBooks from the docks with one hand.

Vertical docks can now be purchased in MacBook Pro versions of 13 ″ (2016 or later) and 15 ″ (2016 or later), for $ 170. In October, Brydge will also release versions for the 16 ″ MacBook Pro and MacBook Air (2018 or later).
